Cutthroat trout

Cutthroat trout are aptly names as they have a red slash near their throat. The rest of their body is a yellowish color. They can be found in streams and lakes, can weigh up to eight pounds and grow to a length of over two feet. This species of fish lives for many years, often over twelve. There are also several variations of this trout with different body colors but with the same marked red slash.
