Using Color Adaptation to Find Trout
Trout have an interesting feature that they use to disguise themselves. Their body color can change depending on the type of environment they are in. This is not an immediate change but it does not take long. If a trout moves from one location to the next, it can change its coloring within days to better hide among the environment.
This camouflage technique in conjunction with remaining still when sensing danger makes it quite challenging to catch trout. Anglers must have keen eye sight in order to see trout in this mode. However, knowing this is part of the battle. Look for signs of movement in the water even if it is difficult to see anything. Once a trout gets moving it is a lot easier to locate.
